BYD Co. Ltd, the world’s leading supplier of rechargeable lithium batteries, was recognized as “Top Brand PV Storage 2018”. In the annual survey, conducted by EuPD Research, European installers have declared their confidence in the storage solutions by BYD, including the highly successful B-Box storage series. The award is exclusively given to manufacturers in the industry that could achieve both a high level of satisfaction as well as a broad reach.
The “Top Brand PV” industry seal of approval is awarded on the basis of a multi-stage analysis by EuDP Research. Qualified statements on brand perception and distribution form the foundation of the assessment. Manufacturers thus receive a neutral and unfiltered appraisal of their own brand. In addition seals such as “Top Brand PV” provide an orientation for both installers and end customers in today’s highly competitive market with its diverse and therefore often confusing multitude of offerings.
EuPD Research developed their methodology for an independent assessment for module and inverter vendors in 2010. Battery storage manufacturers were added in 2015. BYD is the first Chinese manufacturer to be awarded with this industry recognition for storage solutions, which confirms the high amount of trust BYD was able to build in the European market.

High recognition for B-Box series by users and industry experts
Launched in spring 2017 the innovative B-Box HV lithium storage system has been able to match the current market demand like very few other solutions. It was able to differentiate itself from the competition with best ratings for performance as well as highly appreciated flexibility and ease of installation. The solution has already received recognitions such as the pv magazine award 2017 for “top innovation” and the top rating within the System Performance Index SPI.
The B-Box HV employs the successful modular design of the B-Box series with battery capacities ranging from 6.4 to 11.5 kWh, providing more than enough energy for the average household and can be scaled up to 57.5kWh for light commercial. Excellent efficiency, delivering higher capacity ensures the best return on investment. Based on its flexibility the solution addresses a wide range of different requirements from light to heavy electrical load usage, off-grid or on-grid, single-phase or three-phase applications.
The B-Box LV Professional 10.0 is available in four capacities ranging from 2.5 to 10.0 kWh and can be scaled up to 82kWh when multiple boxes are connected in parallel. The B-Box LV Professional 13.8 can reach a maximum capacity of 442 kWh, providing plenty power for an energy-intensive medium-size business.
