Linked Group Services announced today that they have been named Energy Efficient Project of the Year for The Linked Powerhouse complex in the 2018 Annual Master Electricians Australia National Awards for Excellence.
Linked Energy innovated and designed its own sustainable off-grid commercial complex – the Linked Powerhouse. The powerhouse consists of solar systems mounted on various buildings throughout the complex, including the new Linked solar carport, the Eco-port which features an EV charging station. The solar energy was fed to multiple inverters, producing AC power to feed the various site loads, back to a central location where it charges the Tesla Powerpack. This was one of the first implementations of a Tesla PowerPack in Australia, in an off-grid situation.
Master Electricians Australia chief executive officer Malcolm Richards said the awards recognised members of the electrical industry who most strongly reflected the organisation’s values of quality, safety, energy efficiency, innovation and the highest standard of service.
“We had 42 outstanding businesses on show in the national finals, and hundreds across the country who entered the state-level awards. These businesses are bringing out the best in the staff and providing the best possible service to their clients.” Malcolm Richards, CEO Master Electricians Australia
“We are very proud to receive a national award that recognises all of the hard work that our team have done in bringing the Linked Powerhouse solution to fruition. This gives us the opportunity to promote the reality that renewables are not only affordable but they can provide “fair dinkum power” throughout Australia.” Jason Sharam, MD Linked Group Services
The success of this award is a reflection of the company’s unwavering commitment to innovation and sustainable energy. It also demonstrates to the broader community that renewables can be more accessible to everyone.
