“I am absolutely thrilled to join the team at 8 Star Energy and be part of their future roadmap. While we have many objectives as a business, a key one is to build a robust, fun, and interesting brand in an otherwise conservative industry. Renewables have historically been very modest but we’re going to change that, for the better,” says Di Cecco.
No stranger to brand building and business transformation, Di Cecco brings with her 20 years’ experience in Marketing and Operations, having worked for Goodyear & Dunlop Tyres, Nando’s, Specsavers, The Good Guys, Network Seven, McDonald’s, and Genuine Parts Company APAC. Such pedigree is well positioned to manage 8 Star Energy’s licensee partnership with Energizer® and Eveready® for portable power and storage solutions. Maximising range execution and integration for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, will also form part of Di Cecco’s responsibilities.
Di Cecco explains, “It is not often you have the opportunity to work with a group of highly intelligent people. I can see the special attributes each person brings to the team, and I appreciate the dynamic it creates.” She continues, “I was very keen to land in this future growth industry – renewables and clean energy is a very interesting space. It genuinely excites me. I love waking up each day to this purpose in this company. Not many people can say that.”
8 Star Energy Founder and Managing Director, Julian Sweeney, says, “We are very excited to have a CMO of Diana’s calibre join our rapidly growing team. She will oversee business growth and brand awareness globally. It’s safe to say she will have her hands full, but I am also certain she will quickly make an impact. In fact, she already is.”
Furthermore, 8 Star Energy CEO, Clark McKeon, says “We are thrilled to have Diana on board. There are many wonderful synergies between her background and our business, not to mention her intense passion for the renewable energy space. There was a huge candidate pool for this role. Diana was one of over one hundred. Suffice to say it was a very tough decision but also one of the most important ones we will make in our business.”
To round out the brand’s touchpoints, 8 Star Energy will launch a new website and its social media strategy in early 2021.
