After a year of outstanding performance from the initial 100 kW Galaxy lightweight solar panel system, NSW-based aluminium processing company Alspec has chosen to extend their commitment by installing an additional 400 kW on their headquarter roof, bringing the total capacity of the project to 500 kW.
Last year, Alspec installed GoodWe BIPV’s cutting-edge Galaxy lightweight panels at their facility. Weighing just 5.6 kg/m², the Galaxy panels offer fast and non-penetration installation, exceptional hail and wind resistance, and a frameless design that prevents dust accumulation.
These features have proven to be a resounding success, delivering consistent energy performance and exceeding Alspec’s expectations.
“Galaxy panels have demonstrated excellent power generation efficiency,” said Louis Hanna, Chief Operating Officer at Alspec.
“We’ve installed them at multiple sites, with installations now exceeding 1MW. This year, we plan to continue expanding our use of Galaxy panels as part of our commitment to achieving zero carbon emissions.”
“We are thrilled to see the positive impact our Galaxy lightweight panels have had on this project,” said Apollo Chai, Sr. Business Development Director at GoodWe BIPV.
“The decision by Alspec to expand the system by an additional 400kW is a testament to the reliability and efficiency of our products. We look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting Alspec’s sustainability goals.”
The expansion project has already been completed in August, further solidifying GoodWe’s commitment to delivering high-performance, sustainable energy solutions that cater to the growing needs of businesses across the region.
