“This is a win-win cooperation. Growatt is the world’s No.1 residential inverter brand and its high-quality products and services are well recognized in Australia,” Sunterra chief operating officer Lily Zhou said.
“At Sunterra, we have a strong and professional team, ready to deliver these advanced technologies. Our enhanced partnership with Growatt will bring tremendous benefits for customers and accelerate the transition to clean energy in Australia.”
Since its foundation in 2010, Growatt has been one of the key players in Australian solar market. The company has set up its local service centre to provide better technical support and more efficient customer service. Covering a wide range of customer needs, its product offerings include PV inverters for on-grid and hybrid solar applications, storage batteries, smart energy management solutions and more.
According to the agreement, Growatt will supply Sunterra with the ARK series lithium-ion battery system, which won the “All Quality Matters” award by TÜV Rheinland. All these batteries use cobalt-free lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) materials for improved safety, giving customers peace of mind. They are modular and stackable for flexible system architecture and down-the-road expandability. In addition, ARK battery system supports for access to GroHome, Growatt’s home smart energy management system, which integrates PV energy storage, smart EV charger, water heater controller and IoT devices to help users to enjoy the new lifestyle of ‘comfort + smart’.
The agreement between Growatt and Sunterra comes at a time when energy storage is becoming the new standard in new solar installations in Australia. Over 15% of Australian households have had rooftop solar systems installed, while storage installations in Australia will grow to more than 12.8 GW by 2030 according to IHS Markit.
