Developed specifically for the Australian market, the Ohme Home Pro features a full–colour, LCD display screen with touch controls and a five–metre tethered cable for everyday ease of use – a longer eight-metre version of the Home Pro is also available. Both the new Home Pro and ePod (the socket charger launched earlier this year) come with Solar Boost capability and dynamic tariff integration which enables EV drivers to charge smarter, greener and cheaper at home.
The Home Pro’s display screen with touch controls enables drivers to also operate the charger and set charging target schedules from the unit itself as well as from the Ohme app.
“We’re delighted to add the Home Pro to the Ohme range alongside the existing ePod for EV drivers in Australia,” said Reece Davis, Ohme Head of Sales. “Both chargers bring Ohme’s renowned low cost and low CO2 flexible charging capability to EV drivers at highly competitive prices along with a choice between tethered and untethered versions.”
Ohme’s dynamic smart charging technology can connect with the national grid in real time to automatically adjust its charging allowing Ohme customers to take full advantage of off–peak tariffs.
Charging a Tesla Model Y Long Range with an 81 kWh battery on a full charge with an Ohme smart charger on an off–peak tariff, such as OVO’s The EV Plan, could cost just $6.48*.
Ohme is the residential EV charging partner for OSW, the largest solar panel distributor in Australia.
The Home Pro will make its Australian show debut on OSW’s stand (N123) at the All Energy Australia Exhibition in Melbourne on October 23-24.
In the UK and Ireland, Ohme is also the official charger provider for the Volkswagen Group and Polestar, as well as Mercedes–Benz and Hyundai in the UK and Volvo Cars in Ireland. Ohme has also been named as Fast Track Company of the Year in the 2023 UK Green Business Awards and Best Chargepoint Manufacturer in the 2024 Irish EV Awards.
