The aim of these workshops is to bring a wide range of stakeholders together to:
- Introduce the content of the Open Energy Networks consultation paper
- Discuss the opportunities and challenges high DER brings to the NEM and WEM
- Discuss the ‘strawman’ framework options on the frameworks for optimisation of DER in the paper, including the key principles identified for any new design
- Discuss immediate “least regret” actions that may be required
- Outline the next steps and ongoing opportunities to collaborate.
AEMO and Energy Networks Australia welcome interested parties to a final workshop in Brisbane following on from workshops in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
