SoliTek opens most advanced 2MW bifacial solar plant in Europe
Lithuanian solar technology company SoliTek has opened In Ukraine, Dnieper region, a new generation 2 MW solar power plant, the first of its kind in Europe. Equipped with top of the line bifacial glass-glass solar panels and horizontal single-axis sun tracking system, it will generate up to 40% more electricity than a conventional solar power plant. After piloting this project this year, SoliTek plans to start installing this model in EU markets. The size of investment by Global BOD Group, owner of the SoliTek, is 2.6 million EUR.

5B selected as preferred technology for Sun Cable’s world-first 10 GW solar project
Australian solar technology developer 5B is pleased to announce it has been selected as Sun Cable’s preferred technology on the development of the solar farm component of the ground-breaking Australia-Singapore Power Link project – a $20 billion, 10GW solar farm and a 20-30GW hour storage facility near Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory of Australia.
Risen Energy’s USD 467 million high-efficiency heterojunction project in Ninghai, China commences construction
On August 19, Risen Energy held a groundbreaking ceremony for its 2.5GW high-efficiency heterojunction cell and module project in Ninghai, a county within the city of Ningbo, Zhejiang province. On the same day, several other major projects kicking off construction jointly held a “grand opening” ceremony in the county. Officials from the Ninghai county government attended the event.

SolarEdge participating in AGL’s Virtual Power Plant in Australia
SolarEdge Technologies announced today that its StorEdge solutions have been selected to participate in AGL’s new residential battery program as part of its expanded virtual power plant (VPP). StorEdge system owners with an approved battery are eligible to receive an annual credit of up to $280 on their electricity bill for allowing the virtual power plant to access their batteries in times of grid need.
