The new courseMetal Roofing & Solar 101, CPD403, is designed to help installers build practical knowledge around metal roofing as a solar platform, including best practices for attachment, roof integrity safety and long-term system performance.

“Metal roofs represent a major opportunity for the solar industry, but installers need the right technical understanding to maximise performance while preserving roof integrity,” said Donnie Gregory, S-5! Director, APAC & MENA. “Our new Metal Roofing & Solar 101 course is designed to give installers practical, relevant guidance they can use immediately in the field, while also helping them meet their CPD requirements.”

In addition to the online training launch, S-5! is expanding its face-to-face engagement with installers through a national roadshow program aimed at education, networking and hands-on industry connection. Several events will be hosted in partnership with Solar Cutters, a community of solar professionals focused on quality, safety and industry collaboration.

S-5! Australia roadshows currently planned include:

●        15 April – Tasmania

Solar Cutters roadshows featuring S-5! include:

●        23 April – Melbourne

●        16 July – Ballarat

●        20 August – Adelaide

●        27 August – Traralgon

●        24 September – Perth

“These roadshows are about getting in front of installers, contractors and industry partners to share knowledge, answer questions and help the market better understand the benefits of rail-less, direct-attach solutions for metal roofs,” Gregory said. “We’re excited to work alongside Solar Cutters and other partners to support installer education in a way that is practical, local and relevant.”

S-5! has long focused on helping the solar and roofing industries reduce complexity on metal roofs through attachment solutions that avoid unnecessary penetrations and support long-term roof performance. The new training and roadshow series builds on that mission by giving installers more opportunities to learn both online and in person.

Installers and industry professionals can learn more about the new SAA-accredited CPD course through Solar Accreditation Australia’s course listings and can follow S-5! and Solar Cutters for roadshow updates, registration details and additional event information.
