Schneider Electric Solar has announced that they have attained the AS4777 Standard certification for the XW Pro IEC hybrid inverter. The XW Pro is now compliant with the Clean Energy Council (CEC) safety requirements in Australia. This certification provides much greater flexibility, allowing installers to install the inverter in a grid-tied configuration. The XW Pro, with its 230 V output, allows for stacking of up to 4 units to deliver a power output of up to 34 kW. For installers, the XW Pro offers an attractive package with its high overload power rating of 1.75x and ability to integrate with lithium-ion batteries.
The XW Pro hybrid solar and storage inverter is ideal for those who want energy security and the flexibility to integrate multiple energy sources, including generators, in their home power system. It also comes with smart energy management features that allow homeowners to optimize energy consumption for Time-of-Use rates.
Using the XW Pro, installers can design systems according to each homeowner’s unique needs. The XW Pro integrates with 3rd party PV inverters for AC-coupling or with Conext™ MPPT Solar Charge Controllers for DC-coupling. Installers will also benefit from Schneider Electric’s complete ecosystem of accessories for quick, easy and efficient installation.
The XW Pro, with the IEC configuration, was launched with a focus on expanding the XW line of products in the EMEA and APAC markets. With the latest compliance certification, Schneider Electric looks to bring their field-proven, highly reliable XW Pro hybrid inverter to the Australian market.
“The confirmation of the AS4777 certification and the compliance with the CEC standards for the XW Pro IEC is a big step towards entering the on-grid market in Australia. We’re thrilled to offer our reliable solar and storage systems to homeowners and installers, contributing to the regions’ transition to a carbon-neutral energy landscape”, says Bernhard Kiechl, VP of Marketing, Research & Development, Schneider Electric Solar. “The new XW Pro is compatible with multiple battery technologies, including Li-ion batteries, providing installers with greater flexibility when they design solar and storage systems.”
Compatible with Insight Energy Management
Customers can also utilize Schneider Electric’s ecosystem of products and solutions such as Insight, their robust energy management platform for Schneider Electric solar & storage systems. It provides monitoring and configuration capability with advanced data security for end-users and installers. The system performance is accessible from anywhere on laptops or via the mobile app. Installers will take advantage of features such as multi-site management and remote firmware upgrade.
