The head of Solahart’s Solar Power and Battery Storage Division, Sean Box, said the landmark installation milestone ranks Solahart’s solar fleet as large as some coal generators in Australia.

“Solar energy generated by Solahart’s fleet of solar panels as part of PV systems is equivalent to 315 MW of peak solar capacity – which is almost as large as the Collie Power Station in Western Australia,” he said. “This makes Solahart a significant player in the energy mix for Australia – a massive achievement from what was purely a hot water company 12 years ago.”
Solahart produced its first solar water heater in 1953 and has since exported its systems to over 70 countries around the world. From originally specialising in solar hot water, Solahart has since diversified and commenced installing solar PV systems in 2011.

According to Stephen Cranch, General Manager of Solahart Industries, having reached the milestone of one million solar panels demonstrates both Australia’s trust in the pioneering brand, and our nation’s shift towards renewable energy.

“We are the only solar company in Australia that can say they have been in the solar industry for 70 years and installed over one million panels,” he said. “We would not be here today without our incredible nationwide network of Solahart dealers, commitment to innovation and quality, and our dedication to Aussie households and business.”

“One million panels installed is truly a significant milestone and proves that Australia is prepared for a sustainable, renewable-led future, powered by solar.”

Solahart has monitored the number of solar panel deliveries across its Australia-wide dealer network since the first solar power system sale in 2011, confirming that Solahart Newcastle was the dealership that officially installed the company’s one-millionth panel.

Solahart Newcastle has played a significant role in Solahart achieving this milestone, with the dealership installing over 100,000 solar panels in the region.

“Congratulations to the Solahart Newcastle team and to the forward-thinking communities in the Central Coast and Upper Hunter regions, who are looking to clean, solar energy to power their homes and businesses. It also demonstrates Solahart Newcastle’s exceptional customer service and commitment to their customers,” Cranch said.

“Congratulations also to the entire team of Solahart dealers nationwide who have helped make the installation of on million panels possible”.

Recently named Canstar Blue’s top solar installer in Australia, Solahart offers a comprehensive range of smart solar products, including solar water heaters, solar power systems, battery storage systems, and Australia’s first solar-smart electric water heater – Solahart PowerStore.

“Solahart is one of Australia’s largest solar PV retailers, and our high-quality products, trusted Solahart warranties, and demonstrated longevity are the factors that Australians need to consider when switching to solar,” Cranch said.  “As Solahart celebrates 70 years’ of global experience and innovation in the renewable space, we are determined to maintain our reputation as an industry leader. We are committed to helping our nation shift towards a renewable-energy future, while continuing to help Aussie households and businesses save thousands on energy bills.”
