Two days doesn’t sound like a lot, but the quality of conversations more than made up for it.
Residential front and centre
The Agave TH three-phase all-in-one drew strong interest from those working on larger homes. With integrated hybrid inverter technology and support for up to 30kWh in a single stack, it’s a complete system that simplifies both the design and installation process significantly.
For single-phase households, the Agave SH Ultra was a clear standout. Combining a hybrid inverter with modular battery storage and up to 20kWh capacity in a single stack, it delivers high-capacity storage in a clean, straightforward installation that doesn’t require complicated multi-unit setups.
The Copia TH split system with Myrtillo battery boxes drew particular interest from those working on existing homes. When the layout doesn’t suit a single all-in-one unit, being able to place the battery and inverter independently is a genuine practical advantage, and that flexibility resonated strongly with the retrofit-focused conversations we had across the two days.
People came to the booth with real projects in mind, and that made every discussion count.
The rebate conversation everyone was having
It would have been impossible to spend two days at Smart Energy Sydney without the federal battery rebate changes coming up. The updated structure has made battery sizing a critical commercial decision, and the industry is feeling that shift. Under the new tiers, systems up to 14kWh are eligible for up to 100% rebate support, dropping to 60% for the 15–28kWh range, and 15% beyond that.
This is where the WHES residential lineup genuinely shines. The Agave TH, Agave SH Ultra, and Copia TH split system are all sized and designed to sit within the brackets that deliver the most value, making it easier to have a clear, confident conversation with customers about the real return they can expect.
C&I on show
On the commercial side, the PC-mini attracted consistent interest from those scoping smaller commercial sites, retail premises, light industrial facilities, and SMEs looking for capable, no-fuss storage. Its compact footprint and straightforward installation make it a practical fit for sites where space is at a premium and simplicity matters.
Visitors explored the PC-G1 (Tianwu), already well-known BESS delivering reliable performance for peak shaving, load shifting, backup power, and energy cost optimization. With a balanced power-to-capacity ratio and scalable architecture, the system supports efficient deployment across various commercial applications.
A strong start
For a first outing as WHES at Smart Energy Sydney gave us everything we could have hoped for: real project conversations, genuine market feedback, and a clear sense that what we’re building is well matched to where the Australian market is heading.
We’re already looking forward to coming back. In the meantime, if you visited our booth and want to continue the conversation – or if you missed us this time – we’d love to connect.
Thank you to everyone who spent time with us at Smart Energy Sydney 2026. First event down, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. Here’s to what comes next.
