Jinko ESS powers smarter energy use for schools in Australia

Share

The project replaces an aging lead-acid battery system installed in 2016 and is designed to support daily demand management, enhance power reliability, and reduce the school’s operational electricity costs.

The project was delivered and commissioned by Jinko ESS’s local Australia team, providing strong on-site support and ensuring reliable project execution and ongoing service. This deployment demonstrates how Jinko ESS’s advanced energy storage solutions can play a meaningful role in strengthening resilience and sustainability within educational energy infrastructure

The project upgrades the school’s old system to the new-generation SunGiga energy storage solution, improving overall reliability and operational efficiency while allowing for future scalability. As campus energy demand grows, additional SunGiga units can be seamlessly integrated to expand system capacity. This flexible and forward-looking design provides a long-term energy solution that adapts to evolving campus requirements without the need for significant infrastructure upgrades.

Commissioned on 29 January 2026, the system became fully operational immediately after installation. Through optimised demand management and improved energy utilisation, it has already begun delivering measurable savings on the school’s electricity bills.

The project highlights how Jinko ESS solutions can support educational institutions in strengthening energy resilience, managing operational costs, and transitioning toward smarter and more sustainable energy use.
