MVLV will supply and install an 11.5 kV switchroom and associated switchgear and will be working in conjunction with fellow Pacific Energy Group subsidiary Hybrid Systems Australia to deliver the project.

This follows a recent announcement from Hybrid Systems to expand its operations into the Northern Territory and the acquisition of Darwin-based company, Digital Intelligence.

“In addition to partnering with our colleagues at Hybrid Systems, we will be working closely with local fabricators and suppliers to deliver this piece of the BESS project for Darwin-Katherine” MVLV managing director Luke Davies said.

“As the first project for us in this region, we were delighted to win this contract and to be able to commit to a quick delivery timeframe, ensuring timely project execution for Territory Generation.”

This further reinforces the Pacific Energy Group’s national expansion plans and a commitment and capacity to deliver projects in the NT.

“The Darwin-Katherine battery not only delivers on a portion of the Government’s Darwin-Katherine Electricity System Plan but is also key to unlocking flexibility in our generation fleet to better manage the increasing impacts of solar on the system,” Territory Generation chief executive Gerhard Laubscher said.
