NSW Greens: government heading in wrong direction with IPART proposed reduction of solar tariff
NSW Greens energy spokesman Jeremy Buckingham today said the NSW Government was heading in the wrong direction on solar energy after the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) released an issues paper on solar feed-in tariffs which flagged a reduction in the benchmark price paid for households generating solar electricity from 11 cents per kilowatt hour in 2017/18 to 8 cents in 2018/19.
