Reservoir Link bags two rooftop solar contracts totalling 9.7MW

RL Sunseap Energy has secured a letter of award from Malaysia’s Osram Opto Semiconductors to develop solar rooftop installations as well as building integrated PV (BIPV) power generation facilities on rooftops, existing covered carparks and BIPV carparks located in the Malaysian state of Kedah with a combined installed capacity of 7,708kWp and export capacity of 6,285kWac. The agreement is expected to have a tenure of 25 years. RL Sunseap Energy has also been contracted to perform the operations and maintenance of the solar PV system through the contracted tenure.

In addition, RL Sunseap Energy has also signed a rooftop solar supply agreement with PE Land (Penang). Under the agreement,  RL Sunseap Energy will design, construct, install, own, operate, and maintain a solar PV energy generating system with a DC capacity of 1971kWp on the rooftop of the Design Village Outlet Mall located in Pulau Pinang.

“Following our maiden voyage with Sunseap Energy, we are elated with the announcement of two contract wins in just under a month since the inception of the joint venture,” Reservoir Link executive director Thien Chiet Chai said.

“We see our recent wins as a testament of the strong synergy formed with RL Sunseap Energy which only reinforced our position as a formidable solar renewable energy farm contractor and owner. This is only the beginning of our journey with Sunseap. We believe we are well positioned to provide more clean energy solutions to consumers in Malaysia which is also in line with the national agenda.”

Chai said to date, Reservoir Link has successfully secured four contracts to provide rooftop solar PV systems totalling 10MW.
