“Under Anne’s stewardship the AEMC has responded to unprecedented change across the energy sector and risen to the challenge. Her professionalism and personal commitment to working in the interests of Australian consumers has underlined the organisation’s reputation for delivering high integrity, expert work as statutory rule maker and strategic adviser to Council of Australian Governments energy ministers,” Mr Pierce said.
“Since her appointment as Chief Executive in early 2016, the AEMC has benefitted greatly from Anne’s strong organisational management, as well as her guidance on implementation of the AEMC’s fast-growing work program.
Anne leaves us well positioned for our future challenges with a strong Executive Leadership Team supported by our exemplary staff who are addressing the energy transition that is occurring.
“On behalf of the Commissioners I wish Anne well for her future and recognise her valued contributions over 12 years in a number of roles at the AEMC.
Suzanne Falvi will be acting Chief Executive until recruitment is finalised.
