The one-day forum will bring together policymakers, regulators, analysts, product specialists, designers and industry leaders to discuss emerging issues affecting the small-scale energy storage industry.
Clean Energy Council Chief Executive Kane Thornton said an increasing amount of renewable energy is being generated and stored by homes and businesses, which will play an important role in helping to meet power demand over summer when the heat is on.
“This is a fundamental change in the way we think about energy, bringing with it exciting opportunities and challenges for the industry to overcome,” Mr Thornton said.
“With more and more households and commercial businesses generating their own power to keep the cost of electricity down, it is essential that industry experts are provided with high calibre opportunities to recharge their expertise and stay at the forefront of the latest developments.
“South Australia is a natural place to hold this event, given the government’s initiatives to increase the uptake of energy storage and help homeowners rein in their power bills.
“Join leaders from all facets of the industry to share knowledge, discuss important issues and work towards improving your expertise in this fast-moving industry,” he said.
The forum will feature eight in-depth sessions focusing on issues affecting the small-scale energy storage sector. Topics will range from innovation and technology trends in the internet of things to hybrid solutions, construction and planning, regulation and more.
