The win comes at a time when choosing a reputable installer has never been more important. Australia’s solar industry continues to face scrutiny as regulators crack down on non-compliant operators – or “solar cowboys” – leaving many households vulnerable to poor installations, safety risks, and unhonoured warranties.
Solahart Industries General Manager, Stephen Cranch, said this year’s Canstar recognition highlights the growing value of choosing a provider with a proven record and who are there when customers need them the most.
“In an industry where some installers are there one day and gone the next, Australians want to know the company behind their solar system will stand the test of time. We’ve been helping households harness the power of solar for more than 70 years, and unfortunately, we’ve seen firsthand the stress and cost that comes when providers fail to deliver or simply disappear,” said Stephen Cranch.
“That’s why this award matters. It’s based on real customer experiences from within our nationwide dealer network, and I’m proud that our team is committed to giving customers the confidence to embrace smarter energy solutions, achieve energy independence, and lower their bills.”
A nine-time Canstar award winner Solahart’s 2026 title adds to its growing list of accolades. Over the past six years, the company has earned nine Canstar award badges across both the Solar Installer and Hot Water Systems categories.
Late last year, Solahart received the Canstar Hot Water Systems ‘Most Satisfied Customers’ award, marking five wins in the category, including consecutive victories in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
For this year’s Solar Installer of the Year award, consumers rated providers across key criteria including installation process, durability, customer service and overall satisfaction. Solahart achieved five‑star ratings across each of these categories.
According to Cranch, Solahart’s national footprint, quality products, and commitment to long‑term support continue to set the company apart.
“When people invest in solar, they’re making a decision that should serve them for decades. They deserve a partner who will be there to support them throughout that journey, and not just on installation day,” he said. “A huge thank you to our network of dealerships and skilled technicians across the country who continue to deliver innovative solar technology, expert support, reliability and most importantly, peace of mind to Australians.”
