Instyle Solar launches ‘pain-free guarantee’ in major rebrand announcement

The Instyle Solar brand was born seven years ago out of the idea to make solar simple. The reinvented business identity will create a new industry standard for customer experience and expectations, and build on Instyle Solar’s formidable presence in 2020.

Instyle Solar CEO and founder Karl Brown said the company saw an opportunity to make a genuine commitment to a customer’s understanding of solar and provide exceptional service from start-to-finish.

“The solar industry still has a bad rap when it comes to quality, trust and safety, so we wanted to build a brand that differentiates ourselves as industry leaders who address the genuine concerns of customers,” he said.

“We might not get it perfect every time, but we will do everything we can to rectify and ensure no customer is left with anything other than a product and service that exceeds their expectations and provides certainty, longevity and trust.

“That’s the ‘pain free guarantee’ – belief in our people, our systems and our ability to deliver the best possible customer service for all of our customers.”

In 2020, Instyle Solar expanded across Australia via a record 2,800+ installations, a bona fide retail partnership with Costco and a handful of new employees. The rebrand announcement is the next step to take the solar company to a new level.

Brand ambassador and rugby league legend, Johnathan Thurston, will front the Instyle Solar rebrand and appear in caricature-form across a new video content series.

“I love working with Karl and the Instyle Solar team, because what they have created is a true Queensland business success story,” Thurston said.

“What the team at Instyle Solar have done and continue to do with the organisation is remarkable, and I’m pumped to see the new brand, and of course my huge cartoon arms, in 2021. The process of being turned into an animated character was a first, however I’ve really enjoyed the process and working with the team to create this new brand identity.

“There’s a lot of new and exciting things coming from Instyle Solar in 2021 and I’m excited to be here for the ride.”

Thurston installed solar with Instyle Solar in November 2019 – motivated to “lead by example” as a father of four and well-known public figure and reduce his carbon footprint.

Featuring bold illustrations and a simplified colour palette, the new Instyle Solar logo, website and brand identity will reflect the revamped company’s mission statement – ‘powered by people, planet and purpose’.

It’s not just a new external appearance. Brown and the Instyle Solar team have worked on a refocused set of drivers and purpose – releasing a refined vision, mission and values to drive the company culture forward in the next year.

“The last couple of years have seen Instyle Solar go through a total transformation – and that’s not even considering the pandemic,” he said.

“We have consolidated processes, internal structures, systems and how we generally do things. We’ve also got key people in the right roles with effective and tried-and-tested reporting structures.

“It only made sense to extend that further to the external customer-facing brand to give us a complete refresh for 2021 and beyond.”

Instyle Solar is an award-winning solar company, with accolades including the third-fastest growing company in the AFR Fast 100 2020 under their belt.

In 2021, Instyle Solar will look to raise the standard for solar companies. With business objectives that exceed 20% growth for both residential and commercial installations, Instyle Solar are also looking to acquire a number of businesses to expedite their current trajectory even further.
