After spinning off from First Solar and joining forces with SunPowers O&M in 2021, and with over a decade of experience at the helm, NovaSource has rapidly added to its portfolio of O&M contracts throughout the U.S., Europe, and Australia. The appointment of Mr Cole is a demonstration of NovaSource’s commitment to building up and expanding the company’s operations and capabilities within the Australian continent.
NovaSource’s expansion into Australia comes at an integral time for the global energy transition, with Australia demonstrating its leadership and growth of Renewable Generation & Storage plants. Australia has over 9.1GWp of Large Scale Solar PV plants operational, contributing over 12% of the total clean energy in Australia in 2021—a proportion that is expected to grow exponentially over the coming years.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the preeminent global leader in renewable O&M,” said Daman Cole. “Renewable generation assets need reliable partners to provide optimal performance. I am energised to present our current and future stakeholders in Australia with a higher standard of technical services, leveraging the knowledge and expertise of the 20GW of assets we currently operate and demonstrating our commitment to enhancing long-term value for assets owners and shareholders.”
“We made the decision early on to be a leading player in this space, and that’s what we intend to do in the Australian market,” said NovaSource President International Timo Moeller. “Being solely focused on providing best-in-class O&M services in addition to our global scale allows us to invest in and deploy big data to all our clients’ benefit. In the fastest growing solar market this means we are capable and committed to delivering real value and innovation to the market. I’m excited to have Daman Cole, with his experience, leading our business as we grow in Australia.”
