“At Verdia, we believe that we have an important role to help the country transition to a renewable energy economy,” Verdia CEO Paul Peters said.
“We understand that human induced climate change is real but with positive action we can help mitigate its impact. We believe that we have a responsibility to act and that by doing so we can also assist Australian businesses to remain competitive by reducing their energy costs.
“We are proud that over the past three years we have now helped over 100 businesses and institutions develop and deliver 68 MW of solar to generate their own clean renewable electricity at almost 300 sites.
“These projects will reduce their carbon emissions by an estimated 97kt Co2-e, the equivalent of taking about 55,000 cars off the road.
“It’s a small step forward, with so much more opportunity to act.”
