Lakeland solar+storage to demonstrate value stacking at utility scale

Australia’s first large scale solar+storage array has been grid connected, in Northern Queensland. The collocated 10.8 MW solar and 1.4 MW/5.3 MWh battery storage system is set to demonstrate the value of dispatchable PV to networks and asset owners.

Canadian Solar acquires 51% stake in five Photon Energy projects

Chinese module maker and project developer Canadian Solar has acquired a 51% stake in project pipeline of five utility scale solar farms in New South Wales. The projects, which are at an early stage, were initiated by Netherlands-based Photon Energy NV.

120 MW Munna Creek project receives development approval

Queensland to offer no-interest loans for solar systems

RES reaches financial close on 68 MW PV plant in Queensland

RES Australia has announced financial close on the Emerald Solar Park, a 68 MW PV project to be located in the Central Highlands region of Queensland. The project is the first in Australia to be supported by a PPA with a corporate off-taker.
