HyEnergy Renewable Hydrogen Project

A study into exporting green hydrogen from the 8 GW HyEnergy hydrogen Project in Western Australia’s Gascoyne region without an onshore port has found it to be both commercially and technically feasible.

Province Resources has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with French giant Total Eren, which could see the two companies have equal shares in Province’s HyEnergy Zero Carbon Hydrogen project proposed in northwest Western Australia. Importantly, the ambition of the project seems to have grown significantly with the commitment of heavy hitter, Total Eren, with Province now saying it plans to install 8 GW of renewable energy capacity, far more than the 1 GW which caused a stir when it was announced earlier this year.

Province Resources, which caused a stock market frenzy earlier this year when it announced plans to build 1 GW of hybrid solar and wind to produce green hydrogen in Western Australia, has today said it plans to acquire more land for the project.

ASX-listed Province Resources is pushing ahead quickly with its plan to develop a 1 GW hybrid solar PV and wind farm in Western Australia as part of a proposal to produce renewable hydrogen for domestic and foreign markets.

Little more than a seed of an idea and the registration of Zero Carbon Hydrogen as a trademark has proven enough to send West Australian company Province Resources status, and share prices, through the roof.

Western Australian-based gold and nickel exploration company Province Resources has announced its intention to enter the renewable energy sector, floating plans to develop a 1 GW wind and solar PV green hydrogen production facility in the state’s north west.
