October highlights
33 power stations were accredited with a combined capacity of 150 megawatts. This brings the total capacity accredited in 2018 to over three gigawatts.
Three utility-scale projects account for 139 megawatts of October’s accredited capacity:
- Karadoc Solar Farm in Victoria – 112 megawatts
- Baking Board (Chinchilla) Solar Farm in Queensland – 20 megawatts, and
- Timboon West Wind Farm in Victoria – 7 megawatts
Four utility scale projects with a combind capacity of 438 megawatts reached financial close. The largest being Kiamal Solar Farm (Victoria) and Sunraysia Solar Farm (New South Wales), with 200 megawatts each.
The 25 megawatt Katherine Solar Project in the Northern Territory signed a power purchase agreement and will be the largest solar farm in the Northern Territory.
