Sterling and Wilson, one of the India’s largest EPC companies, is further strengthening its global presence by expanding into Australia, with upcoming 500 MW installations.

The company already has a presence in Australia since 2015, offering Diesel generators and co generation solutions; now it plans to construct 500 MW solar plants in the coming three years.

The projects could attract investment of $600 million. They are estimated to reduce carbon emissions up to approximately 750,000 tons annually.

Bikesh Orga, CEO Renewable Energy, Sterling and Wilson said that Australia is witnessing a solar boom and has had a phenomenal year with respect to large scale solar projects. Further adding that solar industry had seen a decline in costs and this would be pivotal to achieve country’s renewable targets.
