Residential and commercial solar installatoin company, Mondiaux Solar has completed its first 100 kW ground mounted solar system with a 27 kW rooftop system to power a water treatment plant for the regional New South Wales town of Cowra.

Power solutions provider and manufacturer Quality Energy has completed the installation of a 1 MW rooftop PV system that will provide almost 30% of the annual electrical energy demand at an advanced textile manufacturing site at Wangaratta in regional Victoria.

The application of busbarless cell interconnection approaches could unlock the potential of heterojunction (HJT) technology, primarily by reducing the historically high silver usage of negatively-doped, “n-type” cell technology. As HJT production increases, a wave of applications may very well be on the horizon.

With many of the top choice land parcels for renewable development now taken, the question of where to put new projects in Australia is growing troublesome. Australian company Rela thinks it has a novel solution – one which rests on levelling the knowledge playing field between landowners and developers. “If the counter party is your sole source of knowledge about this whole [renewable] ecosystem, of course you’re hesitant,” director Michael Katz tells pv magazine Australia.

In pursuit of its Australian target of developing 3 GW and delivering 1 GW of renewable projects by 2027, China-headquartered PV module manufacturer and project developer Risen Energy has unveiled plans to develop a 100 MW/400 MWh battery in regional New South Wales.

Risen and Longi have revealed plans to each build 10 GW factories, while Canadian Solar has reported solid earnings and Daqo has secured a big polysilicon order.

Risen Energy has extended the product warranty on its Australian residential modules from 15 to 25 years. The news comes just weeks after SunPower Maxeon pushed the Australian market by increasing its new warranties to 40 years.

The 210 mm module can reach a power output of up to 703.6 W and a power conversion efficiency of 23.08%. The result was confirmed by Germany’s TÜV SÜD.

Chinese manufacturer JA Solar has announced a new 525 W+ panel and said the product will be available from the second half. Domestic rival Risen has shipped the first batch of its high-powered modules and intends to stick to pre-Covid-19 plans to ramp up production.

Chinese manufacturer Risen Energy will supply Malaysia’s Tokai Engineering with 20 MW of its new panels, unveiled in December. Risen claims its products can help reduce balance-of-system project costs by 9.6% and the levelized cost of energy by 6%.
